Application & Dates This immersive program combines instruction and engagement to introduce students to heritage science and develop a diverse set of practical skills essential for working in the field. Students will also gain an understanding of the breadth and diversity of careers within heritage outreach, protection, conservation, and science. Students will live and learn in the medieval town of York, a city rich in history. They will work alongside University of York students and utilize industry leading techniques to develop an engagement strategy for a specific historical structure in York giving them hands-on experience with historical, archival, archaeological, and heritage science research. Students will collaboratively produce a final report that will be submitted to the city of York to have broader and lasting implications for cultural heritage and preservation.
